What do you do at Madhi?
Manager, Organizational Development. I handle core functions of the support system at Madhi including admin, finance and HR.
Why do you do what you do?
I’m someone who enjoys working behind the scenes. At Madhi, I’m able to continue in such roles while also making meaningful contributions to society.
What is the lamest joke you have heard a team member crack?
There is one particular teammate of ours whose spontaneous sense of humour cracks me up almost every time. Inevitably any jokes that follow hers, just seem lame.
What is your favourite memory with the team?
We played Pictionary during one of our all team meetings. I created history by not answering even a single question.

Aparna Shankar
What do you do at Madhi?
Associate Director, Projects. I work on equipping everybody to make magic happen seamlessly.
Why do you do what you do?
I believe that foundational learning is a key building block for removing social inequity and one of the most effective means to eliminate poverty.
What is the lamest joke you have heard a team member crack?
Someone said, “Let’s go watch Darbar” (The Rajnikanth movie). I thought they were referring to a classical music concert.
What is your favourite memory with the team?
I really enjoyed watching everybody make a fool of themselves during a mini-theatre exercise at one of our monthly meetings. All the plays were so hilarious and yet quite meaningful.

Mathangi PN
What do you do at Madhi?
Specialist, Content Development. I create teacher development curriculum and content.
Why do you do what you do?
After working in the corporate sector, and then as a teacher and an assistant school leader, I really wanted to join an organisation that worked with curriculum improvement in schools, and had a warm and engaging team culture.
What is the lamest joke you have heard a team member crack?
Anticipating the usual queries, a colleague once answered a call from her Ola cab driver with, “Hello! Naa cash pesare!” (Translation: “Hello! I am cash speaking.”)
What is your favourite memory with the team?
I really enjoy the unique flavour Madhi brings to any occasion. Be it birthdays, weddings, or traditional festivals.
